I'm using IE 6, and whenever I right-click "save as..." ANYTHING, it always
defaults the file to name: "unamed" type: "bmp".
Always. No option to change the file type to "all files *.*" or anything
else.

However, at work I have the same WinXP and same IE6 and all the patches the
other computer has, but whenever I right-click "save as..." an image it
defaults to the actual item's file name and the proper file type.
And it can be the same image from the same Web page I'll try on both
machines.

So, what's up? And more important, is there some way to fix it?

Thanks for any advice!!
Liam

You need to clean out the IE cache. Right-click the IE icon, select
Properties and in the Temporary Internet Files section push the Delete Files
button.
