I am not sure if this is a browser problem or an
XP PRO SP2 problem.

When I log into secure websites with IE6 or another browser
the USERNAMES in drop down window contain the USERNAME plus some garbage
text.
Example
------
1. USER1 ...a good entry
2. USER1xyza ...a bad entry
3. USER2 ..a good entry
4. USER2password ... a very bad entry

The incorrect names are different at the same site depending upon which
browser being used.

I am very motivated to purge those BAD users names but nothing I tried
has worked.

Cannot find where IE6 stores USER names and passwords.

I sure need some help. Thank you, Dave_s

IE6:

Click tools - Internet Options – content – autocomplete

You should be able to go from there.

I would also delete my cookies & temporary Internet files:
Tools – Internet Options - General
