i'm connected to the internet, my home page comes up fine
but when i type in a new web address, explorer attempts to
open some other page and adds my page request onto the end
of another page's address, therefore it won't open any
pages. i checked for a virus, but my norton anti-virus
does not detect any viruses. the other web page that my
browser tries to pull up is always the same address, so my
assumption is that some site that was visited has attached
something to my explorer. i deleted all cookies, history,
etc. but continue to have this problem.
any help?

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit is with these
tools.
