i had to restore my windows and ever since it has done
this. I go to a page and it just stops like it freezes and
then a few mins will go. what could be the problem and how
to fix it?

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
