I have a Windows 2000 (SP4) Laptop that has the latest critical patches
installed. The laptop connects to a W2K Active Directory.

IE 6 will not launch for a specific users profile. I went in with the admin
account for the domain and was able to have IE launch.

How do I repair this so the local user can have IE6 launch?

Check for parasites in the account.

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
