Is anyone else using Outlook Express having problems reading Tramp's posts,
which appear as gibberish when viewed in the Preview Pane? This one, for
instance, appears as the letters "ABCDEFGHI" and nothing else. When viewed
in the normal viewing panel they appear ok. This problem occurs with all
posts from Tramp, but everyone else's posts display correctly.

Probably something to do with

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-8"

ISO 8859-8 Latin/Hebrew Alphabet

Ditto with Xnews. I've never used Outlook Express, but it
occasionally throws up these quirks.

Looks fine here with Outlook Express.

He asked about Outlook Express, not Xnews.

The problem with Tramp's posts now seem to have disappeared. Last three
posts displayed correctly.

I made the comment that Xnews was not having difficulties. I don't see
where that should be a problem.
