On logging into my User profile I got the above message. My desktop appeared
with no icons or functionality. I restarted in "Safe Mode With Command Line"
and copied BROWSEIU.dll from another PC to WINDOWS\System32 on the problem
PC. I then ran "regserv32 BROWSEIU.dll" and restarted. Everything looked OK
but I thought it best to restore my PC to a date where I knew it was working.
On opening the retore window I got the message "mshtml.dll does not match
image" so I went through the above process with that file as well and
eventually had a successful restore back one month to where the system was
working. Everything was fine then until the system was restarted and I am now
back to square one. The only thing I have noticed is that Windows auto update
runs and installs an update before the problem re-appears. Is there anyone
else experiencing similar problems? I am running Win XP SP2 on eMachine.

Many thanks Nass, I'll try what you suggest and get back to you.
