IE6 with WinXP Pro:

Can't naviagte to a particular site, which is NOT a secure
site, ( not https. ) This just started today after years
of being able to go to that site.

The error is "Page Cannot Be Displayed."

Deleted History, Cookies and Temp Int Files.

Checked Host file. It is OK.

IE will navigate to any other site EXCEPT this particular
site.

Ping of this particular site works.

Get to site easily with Netscape browser, just as a test.

Ran anti-virus scan. Ran Adaware and Spyware Blaster,
nothing new.

Ran Scandisk & Defrag.

NO, it is NOT a porn site! :-)

HELP!!!!!!!!!???????

Thanks in advance for any suggestions! :-)

Regards......

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

Look at this article and you may decide to try the tool with the /release
