Brower always opens to "c:\searchpage.html"

Every time I open a new browers it trys to open the above string "c:\searchpage.html", even if I change the home page, it will always try to open the c:\searchpage.html, it does not save my home page setting.
This just started happening, I have made no new changes to the system in months
Any ideas would be great
