I have a Brother MSC4420c all-in-one printer connected to
an XP workstation, when they RDP into the Windows 2003
terminal server, that printer does not show up on the
list. When you install an older epson on the workstation,
it does show up on the list.
What's the deal there?

It's my guess that your Brother Multi-Function Printers will NOT work on Terminal Server. I had the same problem and received the following response from Brother

Brother Customer

The MFC 4800 is not designed for network use. Once the printer driver is properly installed it can be shared. All other functions require a direct connection to the PC
Terminal Services is not supported

Aside from stating that these printers are NOT supported you should understand why some printers work and others do not, as it's not the same as hooking up a printer to your workstation and installing the software/drivers. Detailed instructions are here

I've been looking at the Brother web site, and it looks
like they are a little behind the curve when it comes to
2003.
Next question- Will the win2k TS workaround that involves
adding the new PrinterMappingINFName to the registry work
in 2003?
