An interesting problem seems to exist with the memory card slot software and
this do everything printer scanner fax copier.
When the Brother software is installed, it labels the assigned memory card
drive letter as a brother mfc420 device. This label persists, even when the
drive letter is in use by another device such as a printer or camera.
Other mfrs drivers don't seem to create this situation. Other than renaming
the drive letter entry to something generic, such as Card, or ignoring the
label, is there a simple way out?
