Cannot copy or fax from this printer. When selecting menu or any other
button on printer it just bleeps at me. Can scan and print OK from PC
though. Think memory must be full. Any ideas how to clear it please??

Do you get any error message on the display?

Thanks for replying
The only message I get is

"Near empty yellow
Plain ( 4 bars of differing length) and 01"

To turn the printer on I have to insert the power cable at the same
time as holding down the on/off botton or Menu/Set button.

I have had printer for 3 years with no problems at all. My partner
tried to copy something on Friday and when I came home it would not
work. I guess she might have pressed every button on the printer to get
it to work and it's confused poor thing.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Have sorted the problem. After much fiddling with controls the keypads
finally started to respond and all is well. Much troubled though about
other postings re Brother Printers and error 41!!

Hope for my sake I don't see that message.

I hope not also, not sure whether this model was affected by the Machine Error
41 issue or not.
I don't know how old the printer is but Brother were offering warranty cover
for up to 2 years for error 41 problems, worth knowing if you do get the
problem.
