The Control Center 2.0 software supplied with Borther MFC 8860DN when
scanning to email, file or document assignes its own name to the scanned
file, for example CCE00000 followed by extension assigned extension. There
seems to be no option however for changing the file name prior to scan.
Unless I missed it, I can not find anything in the Brother's manual or FAQ
which is surprising as I would have thought this is fairly handy and time
saving feature ( I realize I can save and rename the scanned file). Until
just a few days ago I have been using HP scanner with HP Director which is
over 4 years old and which has this function available and I expected
nothing less from current scanners/copiers/printers . Email to Support
Center so far, has not been answered.

Would appreciate your help in (a) is this option available and I missed it
somewhere or (b) if not availabe, is there a third party software that has
this function available

Many thanks and regards, Mark
