How do I get passed this error? we have tried unplugging several
times. I am running XP pro and have had no issues since we hooked
this printer up 8 mos ago.

Error 41 means there is a major problem with the printhead, usually
requires a print head replacement. My advice is to take it to a
Brother service centre while it is under warranty. If it's out of
warranty they are usually a throw away job.

Hi, Illkey,

I am under the impression that you are very familiar with Brother products.
I have a Brother mfc 8500 All-in-one. It works very well. I see one
problem. It cannot print "multiple copies" of Adobe Pagemaker (v. 7.01)
files (pmd). Regardless of how many copies I click, it only prints out one
set. What could be wrong on this? Satoshi

I have a 5100C, and the infamous error 41.....There was some postings
last year about how to clean the print head....but...in my machine
the carriage for the ink cartridges is retracted so that I can not
get to the ink cartridges. Does anyone know how to overcome this????
