Hi,
I bought a Brother HL-5140 used, but the CD was missing. I downloaded what I understood I would need from Brother and installed, but now get the message "no printer can be found" when I try to print. When I use "printers and faxes, add a printer" under the start menu, I get the message "Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running." I went into administrative tools and tried to start print spooler in the services area, but got the message, "could not start the print spooler service on local computer. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."
I am running Windows XP, SP 2 and the printer is connected via a USB port.
Any suggestions?
