Recently I have used a HDD , Samsung make , SV1022D , 10GB in size.
In this , I found pin no.19 was broken in the data connector .
This appears to be GROUND pin.

I successfully mounted the drive to my computer and I have no problem
so far.

Can somebody advise me that would a missing Ground Pin create
any problem ?

Thanks.

It's one of several grounds pins, so you still have a ground
connection. However, you are now one ground pin short. I guess I would
recommend you back-up the hard drive more often then you do now in case
you do start to see noise problems.

there are about 7 ground pins total...
so if one broke off...it's not too likely to cause any problems...
i would not worry about it
