I have an optical track ball that is recognized by XP on
my computer, but does not function. It is getting power,
any suggestions?

no, are you referring to the original drivers for the
laptop, or new ones from somewhere?

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your posting here.

Did you try this Optical Track ball on other computer? Does it work
properly?

Did you try the latest IntelliPoint software? Please download and install
it from the following web site.

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mo.../Download.mspx

What is the result?

Either drivers should work.
