Broken Hyperlink

I am running Outlook 2007 sp1 on with XP Pro sp3 at work.
The problem is this......when I receive certain emails that contain a long
hyperlink web address, outlook wraps the text of the address. The wrapped
portion of the text is no longer part of the link. I see this mostly from
GMAIL messages.

Is there a setting I can change to correct this from happening?

Rick

it happens frequently with plain text messages, rarely with HTML.
Unfortunately, its caused by the sender, not outlook and all you can do is
put it back together - you can open the message, go into edit mode (other
actions button in 2007) and fix the link then save and close.

A follow-up...... I tried sending an email from my GMAIL account with a very
long hyperlinked address and it came thru fine. So I must assume that my
home laptop is causing the problem. Is there a setting in outlook that could
be causing it to break the link?

Did you use HTML or plain text in gmail? What message format are the broken
links in?

I tried your suggestion, several different ways, and had no success. Any
other thoughts?

Are you sending them from a gmail acct configured in outlook or from the
gmail web access?

Are you using an antivirus scanner or something that is messing with the
message? It's not uncommon for urls to break at 75-80 characters when
sending plain text and I don't see a setting in Gmail to control it.

If you enclose the url in < > does it work?

"Sending from your gmail account" says nothing about what format you
used to send the e-mail. Was it a plain-text or HTML-formatted e-mail?
