Using XP Home, SP

Let me say first that I have already searched Help & Support; I have
Googled; and searched other places before bothering you.

After LOC does its' scan at 2AM, event viewer records a message every 11
minutes that broadcast messaging is not working. I don't use outgoing
broadcast messaging. As soon as I begin to use my PC, the notices stop.

Do I have a problem with my PC? Is there someway I can get the software to
stop creating this error message?

MS has made web-forums available for OneCare support and questions. This
newsgroup is not related to these forums nor are they available via
newsgroups.

Broadcast Messaging was a feature in my Windows long before LOC was created.
How is a user to know which of 500 newsgroups to use properlyl, without being
made to feel stupid. Still don't believe my problem relates only to LOC.
Most people who respond on this board are polite, you know.

I don't see how you can interpret PA Bear's response as not being polite.
It was direct and factual, but not impolite. Maybe you were having a bad
day when you read his response?

Yes it can be hard to decide which is the right place to post a question.
We often times refer people to other newsgroups. Had I got to your message
first, I would have posted the same thing. Sounds to me like an WLOC
related issue. Good luck.
