broadband internet connection problem

just upgraded to XP Home edition, and have lost my internet connection. I
contacted Optimum Online and they said its my network adapter drivers not
being recognized, but couldn't contact Netgear V4.0 and disk does not install
when inserted in my drive. Help, please

Welcome to Optimum Online. They will ALWAYS tell you that your system is the
root of any problem.
