Hello -

I am sure this is covered somewhere online - I was hoping someone could
point me there. I am very new to networking and have no idea what I am
doing. I am not having much luck finding a good tutorial that mirrors my
scenario.

Thanks -

JD

XP and 98 machines if you give me a starting point I might be able to help!

The fact that you have 2 different versions of windows doesn't matter at
all. As long as you configure the machines properly, everything will
work fine.

along with the websites reccomended by other posters, check out
http://www.practicallynetworked.com for tutorials concerning many
aspects of home networking.
