Hi:
When I was doing MapQuest and accidently hit 'Start' at the left bottom,
'Start' along with 'Programs,' ;Log-off,' and all other menues went to the
right side of screen with 'Start' on the top right of the screen.

How to bring 'Start' back to the original location, ... at the left bottom
of the screen?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks for the response.

I tried many times drag it back, but it's still there.

Is there any way for me to bring it back to the original location, left
bottom of corner of the screen?

Press/hold down the Right mouse button on an empty space in the Taskbar.
Drag it back to the bottom of the screen, you should see it snap back to the
bottom when the pointer gets near the bottom.
Release the mouse button.

Yes, I did 'Unlock,' ....

I can do expand/drag to the left with ease, ... but still NOT able to drag
it to the original location, left bottom of the screen.

Just wonder what's wrong with it?

Any other helps would be truly appreciated.

Maybe you have some anti-malware or security software that is ensuring
that malware or malcontents don't change your taskbar's properties.

Have you tried rebooting into Windows' safe mode and then dragging the
taskbar?

When dragging, you have to move the mouse cursor (during the drag
operation) all the way to the screen edge. Is the screen sized
correctly so that its edges are inside the borders of the monitor?

I noticed you mentioned that something went to the "top right of the
screen". The Windows taskbar occupies an entire edge of the screen, not
a corner. Is the Windows taskbar still at the bottom of the screen and
it is some toolbar that you dragged out of it that is in the top right
*corner*?

Thanks for having taken the time to help me out. I really appreciate your
effort.

This morning, ... I live in East Coast of US, ... in my desperation, I used
'System Restore,' and guess, ...
everything got back to the normal, even all icons on the desktop as if
nothing happened.

Now, I'm SO happy to see all familiar icons on the desktop of my computer.

Thanks again,
