Hello, I have a Radeon X1300 video card, and an LG Flatron 775FM
monitor, the monitor is too dark in video games and I have set the
brightness and contrast on the monitor @ 100% and the brightness in
games to 100% and it is still dark (it is a problem with this specific
monitor, I have a 14 inch Samsung which is not dark at all and I can
play games fine on it but it is too terrible to play games on(not even
flat and only 14 inch)).
So the option is to increase the brightness and gamma from the
Catalyst Control Center, I have Windows XP Professional SP3, and
Catalyst 8.11, and I tried opening catalyst and going to (Color > Full
Screen 3D) and (Color > Desktop > All channels) and increasing the
gamma and brightness in these options, then clicking 'apply', my
screen becomes very bright, but once I launch a video game it becomes
dark again (the brightness/gamma in Catalyst doesn't apply to the
game).. again even when I turn the monitor and the game settings to
100% it is still too dark, the only option left to me is Catalyst.
I wonder if anybody can help me with this problem.. and if anybody
knows if it is fixed in Vista then tell me. I tried installing other
drivers for my card (Rivatuner and ati tools) and it still does not
work.
Thanks.
