Briefcase associations following re-install of XP

Hi there

I recently re-installed WinXP on my laptop as it was the only way to get SP3
to install. Windows is on drive C. My data briefcase (synchronising with my
main work computer) is on drive D. However, since I re-installed my briefcase
no longer offers the option to update. I guess that one of the following may
have occurred (you may know better):
- Synch info is kept on drive C and was overwritten
- Re-establishing the network connection means that the Briefcase link has
been lost

Can anyone advise me on how to re-establish the link with the data on my
main computer? I have updated files on both computers and can't say which is
the most up to date. There's no mention of this on the Microsoft Knowledge
base that I can find.

Alternatively, is there a file compare program I could use to see which
files are most up to date?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Sean

I use Syncback and find it excellent.
Acronis true image might also do the trick.
