Dear all,

Wxp Pro SP2,

I have created a briefcase on my desktop.

1. I wanted to open multiple files simultaneously. In a non-briefcase
folder, typically the sequence of event would be: I select the files (holding
down ctrl & left mouse clicks to select the files), hover the mouse pointer
on any of the chosen files, right mouse click to bring up the file manaement
menu, select open, and the selected files opened pretty much simultaneously.

On the other hand, in the briefcase folder, after I selected the multiple
filese to be opened and proceeded to right mouse click to bring up the folder
sub-menus and choosed open, I rceived a synchronization message dialog box
instead that said the files are ready to be updated (i.e. the click runs or
calls synchronization procedures) even though nothing needs to be updated
i.e. the supposed mouse-click event did not occur. The only way to open these
files (within the briefcase folder) wsa to open them one by one.

I was not sure whether this behaviour was deliberate or represents a bug. It
is reproducible on different hardware (but running Wxp Pro SP2) and confirmed
by friends, none of whom could offer an explanation about this other than
this must be a bug or something. Is there a way to multiplely open the files
within a briefcase folder?

Thanks for help and advice,
jes
