I am interested in loading up an intro page first and
then using the <meta http-equiv="refresh"
content="5;URL=index.htm"> to load the home page.

Where do I tell the server to use either default.htm or
index.htm as the page that initially loads? I then want
the Home page (not the intro) to appear on the theme-
derived nav bars.

Any insight? What kind of code will accomplish this?

You need to be able to use subwebs, then you place your site into the
subweb, and your intro page would sit in the root web all by itself.

If you were not using themes/navigation you wouldn't need the ability to use
subwebs to accomplish this.
