What is the general cause of 'jogs' in the video and
corresponding breaks in the audio on a recorded DVD
translated from a DVD9 to a DVD5 using commercial ripping
and burning s/w? Just as important is the question of a
solution. The s/w automatically applied the compression
to accomodate the DVD difference. Quality was fine apart
from the noted problem. Thanx.

You need to ask the Nero folks.

You ARE describing a disc transcoded with Recode,
correct?

As a newbie, this was my first dvd which I transferred and the order of battle, using s/w d/loaded via DVDWizardPro was :
1. Rip with DVD Decrypte
2. Configure backup using DVD Shrink v3.
3. Burn the disk
Presumably this burn was automatic using DVD Shrink as I was not asked any further questions re burning - the operation started unasked. Incidentally, the system was dedicated to the process, not running as a background op. An explanation please of the term, transcoding with recode. Thank you in advance.

Recode is Nero's program that accomplishes
what you did manually with DVD Shrink.

You need to ask this question of the writers
of DVD Shrink, it's likely not a W2K issue.

Does your DVD player play DVD movies
OK otherwise?
