I suffered a an electricity cut while my computer was on. Now I am unable to
see any messages in the In Box. I have 14 messages in the box of which 2 are
unread. Selecting VIEW shows that "Show all messages" is selected. All other
folders are displaying the messages correctly. Has anyone any ideas as to the
answer to my problem/

You should try the various repair options in the WMUtil program:

I hope these are related and a helpful questions:

(1) I've been trying for hours to start a new question, but the site is not
letting me. Why? You see I'm signed in, and I can reply. Why can't I post a
question? When I select New - Question all I get is an error ding.

(2) I'm trying to back up certain web mail messages from Yahoo by copying
selected groups of them into my desktop client Windows Mail. I'm told this
can be done via a manual process - how? I have downloaded groups of messages
and have them in *.eml format - will they go into a Windows Mail folder?
this doesn't seem to work. thanks very much for any experience with this.

1. The web interface to this forum (newsgroup, actually) is very buggy.
I recommend you use the news reader interface. In Windows Mail,
double-click on "Microsoft Communities" and the wizard will set it up
for you. Subscribe to the newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail ..

2. There is no automated way to download Yahoo Mail messages to
Windows Mail unless you subscribe to Yahoo's premium 'Mail Plus'
service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...erview-03.html

You should be able to drag and drop individual .eml files into the
message list pane of Windows Mail.
