when my computer is booting up it gives me a choice of
which operating system to boot from. how can i delete one
of these choices? My operating system is xp home oem.

The list governed by Display list of operating systems option (Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced button -> Startup and Recovery).

Control Panel - System - Advanced click Settings in Startup and Error,
click Edit. That will load the boot.ini file into Notepad and you can
delete the line for the variant you do not want
