Hi,

I have a laptop that I need to install Windows XP which
only has an external cdrw. Is it possible to boot up from
the said drive so I don't have to create a boot disk in my
floppy drive. I have heard that Pentium 4 computers can
enable USB controllers so that the computer can boot from
there. I have tried it but it does not work. Please
advise.. thank you

It depends on the laptop and the drive. Some have no problems, others
require specific drives or they tend not to work. Check with whoever made
the laptop to see what they recommend.
