Hello to all, would someone please assist me in a problem on the booting of a
sony computer.
First let me state that the computer is one that I have had in storage for
some time in my home. Now my grandaughter is 11 this Christmas, so I thought
I would give the system to her. So I connect the system and make sure all
worked. Herin lies the probelm,
when I boot the system it goes to a boot screen and ask
Option 1"Windows Setup"
Option 2 "Preveious Version of Windows"
I have only Windows XP Home on this system?
I looked for the boot.ini in the root of the "C:\" and it is not found "I
have show hidden files on"
I wish to solve the problem with the group's support, all help would be
greatly appreciated

And if you select Option 2?
It appears some one started a new installation of win at some point, then
aborted or it failed

Option 1 would need the Windows CD to install it. Option 2 would try to
reinstall with the "previous version" on the computer. Either way it means
you do not currently have Windows installed and have to reinstall Windows so
try option 2 first. If that doesn't work you would need the CD.
