i just got a new hard drive because my otherone crashed. I push a key when i
start the computer up and it says push any key to boot from cd. Well after i
push a key and it sould like it is about to boot from the cd the screen goes
to a blank black screen and it just stays there. Here is what i have tryed to
fix the problem: tryed different hard drives, tryed different ram, tryed a
different video card, tryed a different cd drive. What could i try to boot
from the cd.

If the BIOS has been changed to make the CD the first boot device then there
is not much else to try. )Also - the correct spelling is tried - not tryed.)

If you have a floppy drive, you can try creating a set of XP boot disks, and
boot to them for setup. Or you can try booting to another bootable cd, as
there may be a problem with your disk.
