Hi,

My Vista computer has started to run very poorly. On XP I would just
reinstall on a new harddrive but I have an OEM installation and was
not given any Vista disks, just a restore partition that I can use to
restore the disk to its original state. I would like to do that but
before hand I need a working clone of the old hard-drive in case there
are any problems with reinstalling my critical programs. I used
Acronis true image 10 to clone the old harddrive but I can't get it to
boot from the new harddrive, the computer just keeps on restarting.
Any advice on what may be wrong? I found an older post on this forum
saying somethign about using a disk but I don't have any from the
manufacturer.

Thanks,
Bob
