In most cases, problems that arise after doing something are usually
caused by that something that you just did. I'd suspect the either DVD
burner or something that you moved or disconnected. I suggest removing
the burner and trying again. If no luck, check and double check the
connections on anything close to the burner. Floppy drive power
connections are easy to jar loose. They are also easy to install upside
down - this could cause the problem you describe.
