I have a Medion MD25932 Laptop which stopped booting from
XP Home. Removed HDD and checked for Virus. None.
Reloaded XP Home and replaced HDD. Set CMOS to default.
Machine Boots to Safe Mode Screen. Select either Normal
or Safe simply causes Initial Screen to re-appear. ie in
a loop.
Tried another HDD with W2000 on. White base line
appears, then W200 white initial screen then Blue stop
screen Ox0000007b and Inaccesible Boot Device etc.

Tried another HDD with W98SE on. Perfect Boot up with no
problems.

The XP and W2000 HDD's are both able to boot another
machine.
Any ideas would be welcome. I don't understand why it
will boot 98 but not the other 2.

If the hd's you were trying had a preinstalled o/s then that install was
specific to the hardware used during that install. You would therefore have
to undertake a repair install on the current sys
