After an auto download of sp3 which screwed up the system totally I
uninstalled sp3 and now windows gets stuck in the start up screen. I am
unable to get any response from hitting f12 to get into set up screen..the
windows xp black screen never shows up, the computer goes right into the blue
screen for a minute and does nothing...so i cannot even get into safe mode to
run scannow or anything.

Any help or advice would be appreciated to get windows to completely load

I presume that you asked it to run on the download instead of saving
and then run ?
