I believe I have all the info I need to to a clean reinstall of Windows XP
Home Upgrade, but I have one remaining question. My OEM OS on this machine
is Windows ME. To do a clean format and reinstall should I boot up from my
Windows ME boot floppy or from the Windows XP Home Upgrade CD? Will the
Upgrade CD reformat for me or do I need something to show ME was previously
on the computer? The instructions I've read on doing a reinstall have left
me confused!

The XP Upgrade installer will do the trick for you. Choose the option to do
a clean install rather than upgrade ME.
