Hi,

I have just bought a new PC, Pentium 4 3.2GHz, with
Windows XP Home pre-installed on it.

I would like to upgrade WinXP to Professional edition
using the CD I already have (if I don't upgrade I lose
all the bundled software tha came with the PC).

During the upgrade process the PC reboots after copying
the installaton files, but then I get a BSOD stop error
stating there was a problem with the following
file: "SUNKFILT.SYS The Driver unloaded without
cancelling pedning operations".

I cannot find any information on this file. If I run HP
system recovery on the PC and restore it to WinXP Home
there is no copy of this file on the hard drive, so I
assume it must be part of the upgrade.

Can anyone tell me what this files does and how I can
successfully upgrade WinXp Home rather tha install a
fresh copy of XP Pro?

Thanks
