Hi all,

Got a machine that intermittantly won't POST (After power cycling a few times it'll boot. I had this problem a while back which gradually got worse until it wouldn't boot at all, so i replaced the motherboard. All was well for a couple of months but now i have a similar problem.

Machine is fine once booted. Any ideas what could be causing this?

AMD 3800 x2
2GB DDR 3200
Random Motherboard
ATI x850 Crossfire (not in crossfire config)
Tagan 400W PSU

Cheers

Hmmm, wondering whether the PSU is degrading slowly - are you able to get hold of another to test?

I had the same problem on my Dads machine a couple of years ago, was the PSU like Ady suggested Might be worth swapping it with an existing one to give it a test.
