The boot.ini file has more than 10 partitions listed but only 10 partitions
appear in the boot menu. What can one do so that more than 10 partitions
would appear in the boot menu?

That has bothered me, too, as I frequently have more than 10 clones
among the 3 HDs in my PC. But I think one would have to hack ntldr
to get more displayed, and I've not attempted to do that, nor do I know
how. Please post the procedure if you find it.

AFAIK there's nothing you can do. You can have over 10 entries listed in the
boot.ini but it is limited to showing only the first 10 in the boot menu during boot.
