Use your Windows XP cd and boot to the Recovery Console and use the
bootcfg command to scan your hard disks and rebuild the boot.ini file.
I'm not sure that bootcfg will add the Windows 98 entry to the list,
you may have to edit the file manually to add it to the list. The entry
would be something like this for Windows 98:
C:\="Microsoft Windows 98"
