I have the following in my boot.ini which boots win xp from partition 1 of
physical sata disk 1.

[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT

What changes do I need to make to load win xp from partition 1 of physical
sata disk 2?

Change "rdisk(0)" to rdisk(1)".
