Boot drive cannot be determined

MAP command in Recovery Console reveals this about my HDD:

C:NTFS ... 80042MB ... \Device\Harddisk0\Partition1
D:NTFS ... 66119MB ... \Device\Harddisk0\Partition2
E:FAT32 ... 9696MB ... \Device\Harddisk1\Partition1

Drive E: is spoofing some of my software utilities into
thinking there are two physical HDDs onboard when
there is really only one 160MB with three logical
partitions. Is there any procedure either in Windows XP
Home Edition or in the Recovery Console to EDIT the E:
drive MAP information so that E: will be transformed as
follows:

E:FAT32 ... 9696MB ... \Device\Harddisk0\Partition3
