[SCREAMING]

Recently purchased a new computer and trying to copy my
favorites from an older Win2000Pro system. IE is pretty
recent on each, 6.0 I think.

Searched for "copy favorites" on the knowledge base and
found an article for Win95. Typical... technically
correct, but worthless info and misdirection. Why can't
microsoft put a link to current info? They can do
automated update, why can't they do better searching and
problem reporting?

A friend who has been in the computer business since the
DOS days told me that this is a typical user experience.
In theory, this is simple... export, copy, move into
place on new PC, import. I am beginning to understands
my friends comments about open standards and microsoft's
twisted marketing and support techniques. I'm not paying
for help with something simple and that should be
documented in an easy to find location.

Frustrated by the computer again,

Desiree
