Sorry I was in the wrong discussion group--new to this so let me get
acclimated. I have some experience with Front Page and html codes where if
you wanted to be able to click on a heading, you would be linked to the text
that fits that heading, thus skipping everyting in between. In Word 2007,
how do I accomplish the same thing in a word document that I am posting to an
Intranet.

Use the built-in heading styles to format the headings of your document, and
then insert a table of contents, which will be hyperlinked by default.

Alternatively, you can bookmark text and then manually insert hyperlinks to
the bookmark, via the Insert Hyperlink dialog box (which you can display by
pressing Ctrl+K).

this is standard behavior for a table of contents in Word. Depending on
the version and settings, it takes a mere click or a CTRL-click.
