Book manager?

Hi. I've just done an extensive search in the archives but nothing
good has come up so far. A few apps listed have gone shareware, too,
so couldn't try those.

At any rate, a few years back I tried BookDB twice but found it
unwieldly. Was able to enter data okay the first time, but
corrections were difficult to make. Also, remember having the devil
of a time trying to add the ISBN into the ISBN field. Wouldn't take
most of the time. So would like to try something else this time as I
still haven't properly catalogued my book collection and/or books I've
read.

Also, looking for proper software for this purpose and not tree
databases or index card type programs <g>. Homebase, also, doesn't
seem like the right thing. I agree with one of the posters in the
archives that said it might be overkill. I agree. I'm not a
bookstore! <g>

Thanks. D

Hi Fitwell,

What do you want this program to store/do?

Actually, I dl this and tried this newer version and it definitely
seems less clunky and seems quite a bit easier to use. It's still
somewhat clunky but I think I can work with this. Anyway, going to
use it for a bit and see. Thanks.
