I'm trying to set a week event several years in the future
so that it will appear in bold print on the small monthly
calendar. It won't show in bold text, despite having
indicated my time as busy.

What can I do?

The Date Navigator will only show items in bold for 2 months into the
past and 10 months into the future. When you get within 10 months of
the date in question, the date will appear as bold.
