The desktop on the Terminal server displayed everything in
bold. Any text in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), the
taskbar and the logon screen all look bold. Any known
resolution for this issue?

I've heard of similar problems (everything displayed in italics)
after installing the Office Viewer IE plugin on a TS.
This is a problem with the fonts on your TS. Compare the installed
fonts with a working TS or other server to see if any of them is
missing.
