BOINC WCG Server Down, How To Crunch With UD Agent at 100% CPU

First off this will only work for one core not both on dual core systems.

This is a 'stop gap' until the BOINC servers are up and running reliably. Until then you can make use of at least one core of a dual core system as instructed below.

Firstly, Download The Agent from HERE. Tick the box that says you are an existing user and enter your user name and password when prompted.

Next download this. Run it and set the throttle to 100% and click OK.

Lastly you will need to go to here and set the profile to which ever projects you wish to crunch. A fresh install of the Agent will run on the 'Default' profile. Just click 'save' when your done.

That's about it. At least this way you will still be contributing to the team and WCG until the matter is resolved.

For those of us on Linux ... your PC has a holiday ... may be a good time for some maintenance work.

Now where has that motherboard manual gone

i have this sorted and now up and running

shame the ud agent doesnt use both cores

 





specs:
intel q6600/xfx 780i /ati x600 (upgrade in the pipeline)/4gb pc6400 ram/80gb ide hd / 320gb ide hd/dvd-r/rw drive/700w psu
