Well done TD

To tweak it go HERE and download the 'Boinc 5.2.13 Windows SSE2' (for your dual core - and also for your other PC if its an Athlon64 CPU - if not use the Athlon XP SSE one) to your desktop.

Firstly go to your WCG personal page, log in and go to My Grid>Device Manager>Device Profiles>Boinc Default Profile. Then make sure that under 'Disk and Memory usage' that you select YES to 'Leave applications in memory while preempted?'

Then go to 'Messages' in Boinc manager, and note the two benchmark figures.

Stop Boinc Manager and exit the program.

Right click the download and select 'extract to' or similar depending on your extractor.

Browse to the Programs/Boinc folder and extract it to there.

Select overwrite existing files.

Done - re-boot - Open Boinc Manager and go to Commands>Run Benchmarks (do NOTHING on your PC until it finishes!)

Then go back to Messages and note the new benchmarks, then please report back here so we can see the improvement

Any problems, come back

Note: I will be away until Sunday evening very shortly...

Here's a simple way to get started.

Open your profile page online at WCG.

Make a note of these two things:

Your Boinc account key.

Boinc project URL.

Be ready to cut and paste both

Open Boinc, click on 'Projects' select 'Attach to Project'

A Window will open and prompt you to enter those two pieces of information.

Finish the 'wizard' and you will attach to the WCG project.

Under the 'Project' tab of Boinc you should now see your project running and Team PC Review should be listed in that line of text.

Under the 'Work' tab of Boinc you should see your work running.

This may take 5 to 10 minutes to complete, so be patient.

All this assuming you're already registered at WCG.

You can then fine tweak Boinc at a later time.

Flops - I was assuming due to to his first post that he had already correctly installed Boinc, and was wanting to install the enhancement tweak.

If I'm wrong on that, then I am sorry TD.....

I noticed TD now has Boinc installed and running.

So, I was just wondering, was my advice helpful or did you just suss it out by yourself?

btw, I've now, in twelve days, amassed 60,824 points and 173 results using Boinc, but, sorry to say, I'm crunching for another team
